Study on how people share links on Internet

Tags: ,   Categories: Internet

There’s a sort of study on Internet, done by AddToAny through their widget that tells us what users use to share links with others. As you might expect, it’s not necessarily a very accurate study, but it gives us an idea of user habits. Lifehacker, the site where I’ve heard about his report, also put a poll inside the article which seems to give similar results to AddToAny’s study.

So, the main online services used for sharing links over Internet are:

  1. Facebook
  2. Email
  3. Twitter
  4. Yahoo Bookmarks
  5. MySpace
  6. Windows Live
  7. Delicious
  8. Digg
  9. Google Bookmarks
  10. Yahoo Buzz

More about the study can be read here.

Now, let’s see what I use for sharing links:

  • Yahoo Messenger
  • Twitter
  • Google Reader
  • Email

What do you use? Do you feel that the study is accurate or just plain link bait material?
