How to automatically install software on your Windows computer

Many people don’t know how to install software on a Windows machine, or don’t care. I have friends that confirm this statement, but sometimes they need things installed, and as you might imagine, they call me to do it. It’s hard, as I don’t particularly like giving assistance over the phone, but now I have a solution, I can point them to Ninite.com, a website that offers an automated installer of typical software applications on a Windows computer.

Ninite doesn’t even install itself: it runs in the background and installs all the applications you’ve checked on the first step, saying No to features like toolbars, ads or MP3 player  of the day, if you know what I mean. There’s only one downside: not all applications are included in the list, but for a typical user there’s more than enough programs to install.

I’ve tried it on Windows 7 and it works perfectly. Check Ninite out and tell me what you think. Below there’s a screenshot of the list of programs that you can choose from:
